Frequently Asked Questions

  • To book an appointment, please fill out the booking form on my website. From there I will email you to discuss your design. Depending on the complexity of your project I may request to set up an online consultation to discuss your project more in depth. After discussing the design I’ll be able to provide an estimate for your piece. When you are ready to book, I will send all of the scheduling and deposit info so we can get you on the books!

    • Your ID. You will need a valid government or state ID that has your photo and a date of birth.

    • Snacks/Drinks. We have some snacks and drinks at the shop but you are welcome to bring any other drinks and snacks you’d like to have for your session.

    • Entertainment to distract yourself. Feel free to bring something to keep your mind off things like, a book, headphones, tablet, etc. Your chair will be near a plug in so if you need to bring a charger for longer sessions you are welcome to!

    • Comfy items. You may also bring a clean washed blanket , hoodie, jacket, etc., to stay comfortable and warm.

  • The better you take care of yourself beforehand, the better!

    • Use sunscreen. We cannot tattoo over sunburns. Using sunscreen not only protects your skin but after the tattoo is healed, using sunscreen will help keep it looking fresh and beautiful for longer.

    • Exfoliate and moisturize. Exfoliating just helps to make sure your skin is as even and smooth as possible. Moisturizing after exfoliating replenishes any moisture lost and helps keep skin nice and hydrated.

    • Drink water. Make sure to stay hydrated before your appointment!

    • Eat a good meal. Eating before your appointment can significantly reduce the risk of feeling lightheaded or dizzy during the process by stabilizing blood sugar.

    • Try to avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment. Alcohol can act as a blood thinner, excessive bleeding can dilute the ink leading to a faded or less vibrant tattoo.

  • Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes that make the area of your body getting tattooed easily accessible. For spine/back tattoos I recommend wearing a button up shirt to provide access to the back easier.

  • You will need antibacterial fragrance-free soap (like dial) and fragrance-free lotion (Lubriderm, Jergens, etc.) or a tattoo balm. (If using a balm be mindful that a little goes a long way, and to only apply a thin layer to moisturize the tattoo.)

  • I accept both cash and card!

  • You may bring a guest with you! However, space is limited so please keep it to a couple max.

  • I do not provide finger tattoos due to them being a high wear area.

  • Yes, with parental consent the youngest we can tattoo is 16. Both the parent and minor will need to have their ID’s so we can make copies for our paperwork. There will be additional paperwork that will need to be notarized prior to the appointment. A parent will be required to be present for the entirety of the appointment.

  • Yes! I recommend Pure numb numbing cream to my clients looking to use numbing cream. Make sure to follow the detailed instructions on their website.

  • No lakes, rivers, streams, pools, baths, hot tubs etc., while your tattoo is healing. If there is bacteria in the water, it will get into your tattoo and cause an infection. Wait 3-4 weeks after your appointment to go swimming.
